How did you run your cable? Thru the wall, down in the open? Do you use any rotators in the attic? All geometries which involve patches crash the program. The output file is written up to the point "antenna environment--(whatever)" and then output ceases. The run-time error description is: "NDP error-arithmetic overflow in hsfld. called by cmws called by cmset called by _lf_main" ok, I AM a FORTRAN programmer (even own the Lahey compiler that this program was made under) and a long-time NEC user. What I want to know is, has anyone else had this problem? Is there a patch available (outside of recompiling it all myself)? Or have I made some stupid mistake somewhere? The NEC files I've been using for input are just the example files in the official documentation. I had a GAP and its good but not similar gain at the higher frequencies as the cushcraft. Also the MFJ series are a bit unwieldy and awkward to put together. One fellow local has one and the gain is not all it is hyped up to be in the ads. My R7 went up, required a bit of tuning but once up forget it. The GAP is great for sticking up and no tuning required and it does have 80M for that once in a while scan down there. With the sunspot 3's down for the next 2 years, 40/80M are the place to be so overall you might be better here. As a plus you do get 2/6M in the one antenna. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 23 Oct 1994 01:07:32 GMT From: ve8ev@gov.nt.ca (John Boudreau) Subject: TH3JRS Help Hi all, I just a bought a used HyGain TH3JRS tribander in pieces and with no instructions!
